Small Town Pages is an idea that came to me a little while ago when Erika and I went on a little trip out to the Pawnee Grasslands. On our way home from this trip, we were looking for a place to stop and have dinner.  We had brought hot dogs, and had planned on finding a place where we could build a fire to roast them.  We were not having much luck until we came across a town called Grover Colorado.  Driving through this town, we found a park with an amazing stone hut in the middle.  As we stopped to investigate, we realized that inside this stone hut was a fireplace.  So we stopped and built a fire and roasted hotdogs with the kids.  As we sat eating, I started to wonder about this little town of about 200.  It was right then that I had an idea for a book.  The idea was to travel with my family to small towns all over America.  I would spend a couple days in each town interviewing people and taking pictures of the town.  The book would consist of chapters dedicated to one town with little spotlights on several of the residence.  To make it uniform I would ask them 3 main questions: What brought you here, what keeps you here, and what makes you happy living here?  Ultimately the book would be a spotlight on small town America.
